Vintage White Christmas Finds

Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean I have to quit junkin'--always time for junkin'. . . .Santa Honey surprised me with a shopping spree and a Celtic Crossroads concert this weekend. . . . .A mall of a different sort became my destination of choice for the shopping--an Antique Mall. . . .Some things never change. . . .I prefer "old" instead of "new". . . .

A Santa boot. . . .

an enamel wash pan. . . .

a beautiful milk glass lamp. . . .

little shoes with a vintage look. . . .

perfect choices for a Christmas vignette. . . . and, useful after the holidays, too. . . .

I suppose I'll never decorate totally with white. . . .I enjoy a splash of color. . . .You can bet you'll see a little color in most of my photos--certainly okay for a our farmhouse style. . . .

I refuse to give up ALL color!

I've received so many emails saying you have nothing white to post about. . . . I bet you DO!. . . .I selected these few items from my finds to show you how the simplest of things can become a lovely Country Whites photo. . . . Look in your cupboards. . . .walk around your house. . . .check out your pets. . . .be creative. . .

"White" is everywhere. . . .just look around. . . .
Most of all, have FUN with it!

The Celtic Crossroads concert? Absolutely Wonderful!!!!! How I wanted to dance a jig right in the aisle. . . .Had to settle for toe-tapping. . . .Santa Honey sure made this Irish heart happy. . . .

Sending Christmas Blessings your way. . . .

from my farmhouse to yours. . . .

As always, I love your vignette. I do have some white things, enough for one party a month.

I love your new finds and they look so pretty with the pop of red!
I think I can come up with a few white things for a party once in awhile.

Definitely have to have a pop of color. I like the all white look, but don't think I could pull it off. But white with a touch of color, that I might be able to handle!
As always lovely pictures!

Love it all Dru!... and I am soo happy to hear you will never go all white with no color!... many are beautiful, but to me... a farmhouse is full of color... my grandmother's was... from her Fiestaware in her Hoosier cabinet to her blue canning jars full of relishes and such on her screened in back porch... to her faded pink floral chair in her parlor... I need color in my life too!... I do have some pretty whites I will share... LOVE white, as long as some color sets it off... hey!... maybe you will see Tessy!... she is mostly white with just a few spots (English Pointer)... and she is such a ham posing... she likes to strut her stuff!... thanks for sharing your beautiful finds... xoxo Julie Marie

Hey...you didn't tell me you went pickin'! You're right about white. It's prettier with pops of color added to it. Like your finds!

I love your vignette and I have some of those very things here. I guess I could do a 'white' themed post as I do have some white things around the house. When is your next link party?

Blessings, my sweet friend,

I just love climbing up in my buckboard and heading down the road to your cozy Country Farmhouse!
Your home reminds me so much of my great-grandmother's farmhouse. It is still being lived in today in a little community called Bellfountain in the state of Oregon. She was a little girl when she traveled in the covered wagon with her parents to the Oregon Territory.

I, too, just have to have a splash of color to go with my whites. Most often it's red.

My husband was asking me what I wanted for Christmas and I had to share that I didn't want anything new, either. My idea of fun is a day filled with thrifting and antiquing.

Your Celtic Crossroads concert sounds delightful. When we lived in East Tennessee we attended every celtic event that came to the area. Appalachia is so very Scotts-Irish...and there were many to attend!
Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comment. I appreciate your so very much.
Christmas Blessings,
Carolynn xxx
Sorry this is so long!

Great finds!! I've been wanting to go pickin'. We have a huge antique mall at the other end of town...just might have to make a trip there.
I love white too, but still have to have pops of other colors.

The beauty of white is how great it makes colour pop out! I have plenty of white and can't wait to share it at your party.

Hi,

I'm visiting from Brenda's Cozy Little House. So glad I dropped by! I love your farm and your gorgeous photos! Your first fire looks absolutely divine! Oh how I would love to have a natural fireplace (mine is gas) but I'm not complaining because there is no clean-up and it looks like a real fire. I'll definitely drop by again because I'm loving what I see here. In fact, I'm going to hit the follow button!

I'll probably never go completely white either. I'm a colorful gal who loves pops of color (especially red).

A Celtic Crossroads concert and an antique mall? Now that sound truly wonderful. Beautiful whites, but i really admire the charming little milk glass lamp!! She is a real beauty, and if you let me, I would arm wrestle you for her! Just kidding :) You do make it all look great for Christmas. Love your pictures.
Blessings,
Susie
