So Blue--Transferware for the Keeping Room

I have another confession--I can't pass up blue and white English transferware either. . . .or any transferware that is reasonably priced. . . .
It just seems to speak to me--
"Take me home. . . ." And, I do. . . .

I had to make a decision for the keeping room--
just how many sets of dishes does a person really need?
I already have lots of white ware. . . .
But, can I leave this beautiful blue and white packed away?

No. . . .I think not. . . .

After all, it will blend in beautifully with the white. . . .
Don't you think?

I too have a weakness for dishes. I have many, many sets. English transferware being a particular favourite of mine. I grew up with the 'Blue Willow ' Pattern. Was my grandmother's fave... Every time I see it I remember her, and how much I mieesed her.I never bought any, because I thought it would make me sad. But of late, I have been longing for some. Now because I wan it, I haven't seen any for sale.... Keeping an eyes peeled.
Beautiful collection. I also luv your Bermuda pattern.
Cheers,Gee

I do not blame you at all. One can never have too much blue and white anything.

Beautiful plates, especially the Lochs of Scotland. Love the mountains, water and clouds.

So pretty! Other than a small cup and saucer I found a few weeks ago, I never picked up transferware - until last week when I spotted two pieces of GREEN... so, so beautiful! I dare say I shall never have the collection you have, but I have come to adore it all!

LOVE all of your blue and white transferware!!
Last week I was able to find 25 pieces including 9 dinner plates at Salvation Army for just over $36!!!

That was the find of a life time, I think!

Gorgeous collection of blue and white transferware!! I don't know which is my fav any more... I think I love all the colors! I love the teapot with the gold and blue too, it's gorgeous. After I'm done with my red collecion of Eng. transf. I will start with the blue, which is easier to find around here, than the other colors, like brown, purple, green, or even the red I just got! Beautiful! Hugs,

Wow, now that is a lot of transferware! Love it and such pretty patterns. I have a much smaller collection but just this week I shared a box of blue and white that I found for $5. I'm still looking for more.

They are all beautiful! I'd definitely try to rotate them out if you can't keep them all out on display. I love transferware, too.

Absolutely keep these out. If they are packed away, you'll likely never use them. Beautiful finds!

Hi, I just found your blog via Make it Pretty party; now a new follower.
I love blue/white especially blue willow pattern. I have more of the Currier & Ives and the Blue Danube Onion patterns.
This is a fantastic collection! I'd love if you'd share it or one of your other finds at Frugal Treasures Tuesday! Have a good week.
