About

I was born and raised in a small farming town in the Northeast Arkansas Delta about a mile from this farmstead. My "Daddy" and Mom inherited the family farm in the 1950s. I spent many summers playing in the barns and buildings. There are now fifteen structures where  I live with my Virginia born husband and a cat named MR. B. J. LaShay.
Hope you'll join us on our journey as we enjoy living and renovating  in our
PLAIN AND SIMPLE FARMHOUSE STYLE.

THE COUNTRY FARM HOME is a Four-Square Craftsman style structure, built ca 1930 by my Grandfather for his farm manager. It is constructed of cypress, cut and milled right here on the farm.  It is now a  part of the Widner-Magers Farm Historic District and on the National Register of Historic Places. Here we are restoring, renovating, and just plain making-do.
