Rag Rug Loom Giveaway!

Calling all Rag Ruggers and Rag Rugging Wanna Bees!

John's been busy again!
This time putting together a Mini Rag Rug Loom
that's the perfect size for weaving a hot pad
or a roomy coaster
or a small rug for a doll house
or a decorating accent. . . .

I can think of so many uses for these cute little rugs. . . .

The loom is perfect for trying your hand at rag rugging
before your invest in a larger one. . . .
Perfect for teaching the art of weaving, too. . . .
Or as a gift to a crafty friend!

I love this Mini Rag Rug Loom.
It's so much FUN!

It doesn't take long to make a Mini Rag Rug either.
I can weave one in less than two hours--
and that includes tearing the fabric.

As a thank you to everyone for following The Country Farm Home
(and I DO Thank each and every one of you),
I'm giving away one of John's Mini Rag Rug Looms! *

The Winner will receive a loom and the instructions for weaving.
I'll even throw in this Mini Rag Rug, too!

The rules are simple:

Become a Follower of The Country Farm Home
and
Leave a Comment on this post.

That's it! Easy. . . .

I'll reveal the Winner on February 18th--
right after Country Whites Weekend!

Speaking of which,
be sure and mark your calendars to join us next Friday-Sunday,
February 15-17 for the Country Whites Weekend party!
Cindy and I will be up when the rooster crows to open the festivities.
Hope you'll join in!

  15. Morning Dru,
Please throw my name in the hat!
I would love this loom made by John.
I have tried making a rug once by using a Pinterest tip of cutting slits into cardboard.
It worked, kinda, but it was difficult to work with.
I have never tried on an actually loom, would love to though.
    Thanks for the opportunity.
    Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

  33. I am a quilter, knitter, I sew, tat, crochet, I have done stained glass, embroidered, dabbled in the Shabby Chic furniture and have never woven a rug which I would love to do. Makes me think of the wool blanket that I have made by my grandmother for the farm hand back in the early 1900's. I love to make treasures and pass my knowledge on to my younger family members.

  34. I love this idea! This is something I have never done and I think those mini rag rugs are so charming. I've always had an interest in weaving so thanks for this giveaway!

I still have some of her balls of cloth made for the next rug. I would love to try my hand at one of your rugs. Small would be the way to start. I have added you as a link in my reading corner. Thanks for your great ideas, pictures and inspirations.

  78. I think your loom give away contest is over :( Darn.
When I was Amish, they use to weave rugs all the time but for some reason I never learned. I wish I had learned when I had the chance. Cant afford a loom otherwise. Your blog is so enjoyable thank you for keeping the old arts alive. :)

  79. I used to make pot holders on a loom when I was a kid and loved it. I am very curious about your looms because your finished product looks soft and so finished. I would love to start out with a small loom first. I have saved some old T-shirts to cut into strips to use when I can afford one of your looms.

  80. Rag rugs are my new goal! I plan to make a larger loom, but I need some practice on a smaller size first!!
