A kitchen window. . . .with a time-worn farmhouse sink below.
For once, I'm without many words. . .
I wanted to share these photos with you that--for me--conjure up all kinds
of memories and feelings, likes and desires, dreams and realities. . . .
but the truth is, I have few words to share. . . .
Sometimes perhaps it's better to be silent. . . .
to hold our thoughts dear. . . .
And, sometimes it's best to allow others to do the same. . . .
As I gaze out my own kitchen window,
I have to admit that today
I am content and satisfied with life.
. . .from my farmhouse to yours. . .

I am in LOVE with that sink!! Can't find pieces like that anymore...beautiful!
Oh my...does that kitchen sink bring fond memories to my mind. I took my first bath in a sink like that...it is almost identical to the one in my childhood home. I would love to have one like it again someday. Of course there was time when I was growing up that I would have loved it if my parents would replace it with a more modern double sink and counter tops. Isn't it funny, the older we get, the more we want to go back to the old ways? Thank you for this beautiful post and resurrecting my memories :)
Oh, this is so beautiful! I love that pretty sink, the sun shining through and it just looks like home.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I want to stand there and wash dishes. . . that's all.. .

Wonderful sink. I just love that look. Isn't it nice how the simple things, like reflectively looking out a window, can bring peace and inspire contentment
Beautiful sink! Is it from a Williamsburg kitchen?
I love those kinds of sinks so much I hunted one down on craig's list. It is currently installed as by laundry sink. Someday I home to move it up stairs! My great Aunt had one, always love it.....
Love love the sink and the way the light is streaming in the window. Ahhhhh so peaceful and so beautiful.

Be Still My Heart!!! Oh how I love your sink. I have no way to put one in my small kitchen. I wanted one so bad. Love your blog!!

I love the sink but the faucet really caught my eye. It looks like the one we had at home along with the bar of sunlight soap on the soap holder. It's good to be content with life. Blessings.
Love your sink!! It reminds me of one the my aunt had at her farmhouse when I was a little girl.
hugs,
Cindy
That is an amazing sink!
Then, in that case, you are rich beyond measure. Your pictures do bring back good memories.
Well I would not mind doing dishes there :)
Ok! did you get a NEW sink in your kitchen? Did I miss something here?
I love this sink. Looks just like my Granny's sink...well, I think hers was a little bit wider...but quite similar!
I love it.
