The Old Gray Mare She Ain't What She Used to Be

My body is falling apart!
This summer has been plagued with health issues for me.
I'm not one to tell much about my aches and pains. . .
but, so many of you have emailed,
wanting to know if I was okay--
since I've done so few posts
and have visited you even less.

I was hoping my health issues would soon be corrected.
Doctors take a lot of time.
I'm a tough case.

The dizzies I've been experiencing are mainly due to an inner ear problem.

Then last week, I began having blurred vision in one corner of one eye. . .
very hard to do much on the internet, as the light bothers it. . .
causing strain (and headaches at times) on my other eye.

I know it sounds alarming.
I'm not too worried, though.
It's very possibly a systemic problem that can be treated.

Here's the deal. . .
The ear is better. . . The eye is a blur even now.
Blogging as often as I did will have to take a little bit of a back seat.
I'll still post as I can--I have so much to show you!
But, the frequency of the posts may continue to be slower for a time.
I do read all your comments and appreciate each one,
but during this time, I may not be able to visit with you as I would like.
I know so many have said I don't have to reply to their comments.
I WANT to! That's why we blog, isn't it?

Please hang in there with me. . .
I'll be posting as I'm able.
And, thank you so much for being so supportive!

"The old gray mare she ain't what she used to be,
ain't what she used to be,
ain't what she used to be.
The old gray mare she ain't what she used to be,
Many long years ago!!!!!"

. . .from my farmhouse to yours. . .

Just relax and get better - we'll still be here when you come back. 5+ years ago I was diagnosed with MS when my hand went completely numb and my vision got really bad. Typing was a joke, because I couldn't feel the keys and I didn't yet have glasses, so I couldn't see well at all. I wasn't blogging then, thank goodness, or I wouldn't have posted anything for a couple of months. I now wear glasses and have gotten accustomed to my numb hand, so this old mare just keeps trotting along! Take Care!

Oh, I haven't sung that song in forever!!! But, boy, does it apply to me these days!

Sorry you're still ailing. Hope you're better real soon.

I feel like you do, I am having a bit of a rough time with health issues, and right, sciatica. It is a real "pain in the patootie". Please take good care of yourself, you and your health come first, absolutely before blogging. xo

Hi Dru,
Hope you feel better soon. Blurred vision can go hand in hand with the inner ear stuff too. You poor thing. I am sure they have but did they check you for anemia and diabetes sometimes your symptoms can go along with these problems too. There goes the nurse in me!!! I am sure it is the inner ear thing and once that gets corrected you should start to feel better. I am sure this is miserable.

Oh Dru, so sorry to hear you are still under the weather! It is so hard to be sick in the summer, so many things to do. Take it easy and get better. Summer will be here again next year! ;)

Oh dear Dru,
You always have such a good attitude. That is good. You take all the time you need to heal. I will keep you in my ongoing prayers. I know it is hard to blog with those kind of problems and will be hear to enjoy your post when you can. Take it easy and try to relax and enjoy yourself.
Blessings,
Susie

Shucks I was hoping you were better by now. That's a real bummer for you when you want to enjoy summer and accompanying activities. I always enjoy your blog so I'll sure be here, hoping your doc finds out what's wrong. Prayers for you.

Dru...hoping that you feel all better soon. Will be keeping you in my prayers. I've not been blogging as much either, because I'm having some troubles and am in a lot of pain. Getting older isn't any fun.
hugs,
Cindy

I'm sorry to read about your eye. I do hope doctors will find what is wrong and will be able to fix it.

So sorry to hear you are still having health issues. No, we sure "aint what we used to be"! I have had health issue myself (that emergency neck surgery), I guess it goes with getting older. Just rest and take it easy and get better. We will be here when you return. I love your beautiful post. Prayers and love to you.
