Daisies, Cows, and Marshall Pottery

"Dizzy Dame". . . .That's an old, old saying I've heard all my life. . . .It wasn't until these past few weeks of vertigo that I felt I've earned that title. . . .My life has been spinning--literally. . . .My world has mostly been viewed from the bedroom window. . . .

The bad news. . . .I'm still dizzy.
The good news. . . .Today it's a little better. . . .Hoping I'm on the downside. . . .

To cheer me, my sweet John came home with a beautiful country mix bouquet. . . .He bought them because of our on-going joke about daisies. . . .

Actually, not "daisy flowers"--although I do like them. . . .It's "daisy cows" I'm more interested in. . . .Ever since I was a little girl I've called the black and whites Daisy Cows. . . . From the beginnings of our relationship, I've told John I'd have a Daisy Cow one day. . . .Every time he--or someone else in his presence--mentioned that the farm is looking good, I'd say, "Yeah, but it would look a lot better with a Daisy Cow!" John never fails to frown--a joking frown.

Recently, he did buy me my Daisy Cow. . . .a doorstop--true--but much cheaper to feed he says. . . .

The cow, the flowers and my vintage Marshall Pottery make me smile. . . .and remind me that all good things come in time. . . .Maybe not in the same form as we'd like. . . .but in a form that's better suited for us in the long run. . . .And that one day soon, I'll wake up without the dizzies. . . .All in time. . . .

Yep, there's a lesson in cows and daisies. . . .isn't there?

Don't forget. . . .Country Whites Weekend begins early Friday morning!
Hope to see you there!

. . .from my farmhouse to yours. . .

I love your Daisy Cow. She is adorable. That was so sweet of the hubby to bring you flowers. Vertigo is the pits I hope they can get you to feeling better. That has to be miserable. Glad the flowers and your little cow made you feel better today.

You'd better be good to that hubs, so sweet of him to bring the flowers and the daisy cow door stop, love them all.
Sorry to hear you're still dizzy, must be frustrating, doggone it anyway.
I love your daisy cow but really love your two pottery pitchers. Can they be purchased any longer or they've been discontinued?
I love the plain style that never goes out of service or style. They are so versatile.
Your farm looks so nice thru the windows. Take care and hope that blasted dizziness goes away. Happy Summer

Hi,

I am so sorry to hear of you being so dizzy! I know exactly how that feels, and for me I finally figured out it was the gluten and dairy in my diet that was the culprit! Maybe this would help you: http://www.glutenfreesociety.org/gluten-free-society-blog/gluten-sensitivity-and-vertigomenieres-disease/?inf_contact_key=9bd2c9606c6445ffff995bc38725d8a31c416ac09c88879d8709b696ba92f138

So sorry to hear you have the dizzies. Hope you will be feeling well balanced soon! Seriously, I hope you are feeling better soon! I love your darling little daisy cow doorstop and how sweet of your husband to bring it and the beautiful flowers to cheer you up. The two pitchers are lovely too, I especially like the small one.
When I was about 14 my parents bought my grandparents a beautiful brown and white calf which I quickly named Bessie and became fast friends with. Every time we went to visit my grandparents I spent most of my time with Bessie. She grew to be a beautiful cow with such big brown eyes and long lush lashes. One day we visited my grandparents and Bessie was gone. My grandmother had prepared a nice big meal with a big roast, you guessed it, Bessie. I was devastated! From then on every time we visited my grandparents we had to stop for a bucket of fried chicken or I wouldn't be eating!
Your sweet cows reminded me of Bessie.

I am so sorry to hear that you are still suffering from vertigo. Not fun at all. I pray you are getting better really soon. Enough is enough! Your daisy cow is oh so sweet. And your John as well. Be careful and please don't fall.
Blessings,
Susie
