Not only beautifully tarnished, but a real steal at $4.99. . . .
I said $4.99. . . .but wait. . . .
my Honey's a Senior, so he got a 20% discount. . . .
He was so generous, he threw in a $1.99 (minus 20%) tarnished silver stand,
I absolutely LOVE it!
The wonderful patina will fit in perfectly with my plain and simple
pewter pieces and the galvanized buckets. . . .
Don't you think?
I can hear my Mom now--"Oh, NO! You're NOT going to use it in you kitchen, are you?"
"Doesn't it need polishing? Here--I'll polish it for you. . . ."
No, thanks, Mom. . . .I have my own style now. . . .
You see, I think it's okay to use a tarnished, shabby coffee server,
along with a vintage tin bucket of mums in my plain old kitchen. . . .
because that's who I am. . . .
along with a vintage tin bucket of mums in my plain old kitchen. . . .
because that's who I am. . . .
a little bit tarnished, a little bit shabby,
but still shining through. . . .
Plain & Simple as that. . . .
So, big HUGS to my Honey. . . .
Yep, he got it right. . . .
Yep, he got it right. . . .
He knows me so well.
from my farmhouse to yours. . . .

Your Honey definitely got it right! These are beautiful pieces and I love the vignette you created with them.
Oh wow... your Honey scored lots of points with these treasures AND the price!! I hope he's going to be offering workshops for other Honeys... :)
He definitely got it right! These peices are beautiful and I also love the slightly tarnished patina.
Oh, My goodness! I bet when your honey walked through the door with this you said, "Honey...You never looked more attractive!"

That is one awesome find, wow. I love it. I want one haha. My husband would never do something like that. First off he would never be looking but if it were staring him in the face he would say we didnt need it. You are soooooo lucky

I absolutely loved reading your term "beautifully tarnished"....that is such a welcome thing to hear. Your silver piece is awesome!! Absolutely gorgeous. Love it. This may mean I may take my silver out from under silver wraps and drawers and let it get beautifully tarnished as well...love it! I am now a follower of your blog and look forward to return visits. I invite you to join me as well on my blog at http://atastefultouch.blogspot.com
Hugs, Gayle.
